KROGER TO WEBCAST ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS ON JUNE 28

CINCINNATI, Ohio, June 14, 2007 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) today announced it will webcast the annual meeting of shareholders beginning at 11 a.m. (ET) on Thursday, June 28, 2007. The meeting will be broadcast live over the Internet at http://www.thekrogerco.com/finance/financialinfo_investorconferencecalls.htm. Click on “Webcast Events” to access the event. An on-demand replay of the webcast will be available through July 6, 2007.
