KROGER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LEHMAN BROTHERS ELEVENTH ANNUAL RETAIL AND RESTAURANT CONFERENCE

CINCINNATI, OH, April 22, 2008 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) will participate in the Lehman Brothers Eleventh Annual Retail and Restaurant Conference on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Dave Dillon, Kroger chairman and chief executive officer, and Mike Schlotman, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will address investors.
