KROGER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BARCLAYS CAPITAL 2009 RETAIL AND RESTAURANTS CONFERENCE

CINCINNATI, Ohio, April 21, 2009 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) will participate in the Barclays Capital 2009 Retail and Restaurants Conference on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. David Dillon, Kroger chairman and chief executive officer, and Mike Schlotman, Kroger senior vice president and chief financial officer, will address investors.
