KROGER TO WEBCAST FOURTH QUARTER CONFERENCE CALL WITH INVESTORS

CINCINNATI, Ohio, February 27, 2007 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) will host a conference call with investors on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. (ET) to discuss financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006.

The presentation will be broadcast live over the Internet at http://www.thekrogerco.com/finance/financialinfo_investorconferencecalls.htm. Click on “Webcast Events” to access the event. An on-demand replay of the webcast will be available from approximately 1 p.m. (ET) March 13 through Friday, March 23, 2007.
