KROGER PHARMACIES TO ACCEPT PFIZER, GLAXO AND NOVARTIS DISCOUNT CARDS
CINCINNATI, OH, January 25, 2002 -- The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) today said its pharmacies will begin accepting the Pfizer Share Card and the Novartis Care Card as they become available to customers. Kroger pharmacies are already accepting the Glaxo discount card.
“We believe that these three discount programs appropriately balance the needs of both patients and community pharmacies by combining access to affordable prescription coverage for senior citizens and a reimbursement structure that reflects the important role of the retail pharmacy,” said Terry Cox, group vice president of Drug/GM Merchandising and Procurement.
