| « Go back The Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation The Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation was founded in 1991 with a commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities served by Ralphs and Food 4 Less. The Foundation focuses on the needs of those living in areas served by Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Foods Co stores. In 2005, the Foundation awarded $3.2 million to nonprofit organizations. The Foundation's focuses in the following areas: - K-12 education and recreational programs;
- Hunger-related programs;
- Women's health;
- Community-based projects; and
- Assisting communities in the aftermath of local disasters.
Only proposals from 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are considered for Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation grants. Eligible organizations may submit proposals at any time during the year. Proposals should include a letter of request and a thorough outline of the program, including the amount requested, how the funds will be used and whom they will serve, budget, funding sources, a copy of the tax-exempt determination letter from the IRS, and any other supporting materials. The Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation is administered by the community relations department of the Ralphs Grocery Company under the direction of a Board of Trustees and an executive director.
