This year, more than 180,000 women in the United States will learn that they have breast cancer. Nearly all of us know someone who has been impacted by this terrible disease.
Kroger is committed to funding research, spreading awareness and offering support to those whose lives have been changed by breast cancer.
- Since 2006, we have contributed more than $18 million to support local breast cancer treatment, research and education. In 2012, with the help of key vendor partners, we will contribute $3 million more.
- This year, 48 of our associates shared their personal stories of survival and hope, which were featured on specially-marked packages of products sold exclusively in our stores.
- Our associates and their stories are also featured on sharingcourage.com, where visitors can post messages of support or share their own experiences.
- Thousands of Kroger associates across the country join in the fight, as volunteers and participants at dozens of fundraising events.
